On August 18, GR8 Sports, Great Kids teamed up with Gazelle Sports and RunGR to celebrate and promote healthy living and fun—the perfect complement to SAF’s GR8 Sports, Great Kids initiative! The fifth annual Kids Adventure Challenge featured a two-hour adventure race with multiple challenges and checkpoints. Over 350 kids participated in teams, navigating Johnson Park with nothing but a map and a great attitude! Proceeds from the Kids Adventure Challenge will benefit GR8 Sports, Great Kids and empower Grand Rapids Public Schools students to pursue healthy activity all year long.
The 2016 Gazelle Sports & RunGR Kids Adventure Challenge was possible due to the tremendous support of these sponsors: Meijer, Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy, CKO Kickboxing, Family Fare, Blandford Nature Center, Grand Rapids Jaycees, West Michigan Whitecaps, Grand Rapids Drive, Grand Rapids Dirt Dawgs, Grand Rapids Public Library and Ele’s Place. Thank you!
GR8 Sports, Great Kids is an initiative of the Student Advancement Foundation, providing opportunities for Grand Rapids Public Schools students in grades K-8 to play sports after school, regardless of ability to pay.
