Meet Carolyn Frank. Our Administrative Assistant extraordinaire! After working with the fabulous team at Habitat for Humanity of Kent County for two years, Carolyn joined the team at the Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation this past September.
Not only does Carolyn bring top-notch trouble-shooting skills and organization to the table, she is a vital, loved member of our awesome team. Read on to get to know Carolyn!
The best advice you’ve ever received read:
“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength…it is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength” – Corrie ten Boom
Also: “Life is short. Buy the shoes” (or in my case, buy the bike!)
This is how I unwind:
I love to get outside – riding my bike, walking the dog, and hiking. I also really enjoy curling up on the couch with a good book!
I dream of vacationing in:
Biking Southern Thailand or hiking the Cinque Terre in Italy
Teachers. To have the energy, wisdom and heart to wrangle 25+ kiddos every day always amazes me!
I love my new job because…
My co-workers are super awesome, especially Salina! (*disclaimer* Salina published this post and didn’t feel the need to take this admission out!) Seriously, everyone here is serious about the work to be done and equally really take the time to care for each other.
I like to quote:
Seinfeld, Ferris Bueller (basically any 80s reference – am I showing my age?)
Tell me about your family:
Kiddos, Cam (21) and Natalie (18)
